We respect your right to privacy. With this privacy statement we inform you about how we handle your personal data.
Who are we?
“Morabeza Reizen” and “Booking Morabeza” are trade names of the limited liability company SVD BV, with registered office at 9000 Gent, Gasmeterlaan 207 in Belgium and with company number 0733.834.197 (hereinafter collectively called “Morabeza”).
This privacy statement applies to all processing of personal data that we, as controller, receive from or about you at one of the moments or ways described below.
When do we process your personal data?
Morabeza processes your personal data when you book a travel service or package tour with or through Morabeza, you ask a question via our contact form, e-mail or telephone or use one of our other services.
Which personal data do we process for what purposes?
In the context of our services, the sale of our products or when you have contact with Morabeza in any other way, we record personal data. Personal data that are necessary for our services such as your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. Such data is required, for example, to make a booking.
The following are the personal data we process, subdivided according to the different purposes for which we collect these data:
To be able to book, execute, invoice and / or provide your specified preferences for your travel service or travel package
This concerns customer data, contact details, reservation details, payment information that you provide during the booking of yourself and your fellow travelers, including the preferences such as, for example, whether or not additional insurance policies. The information above is used to book, reserve, invoice and confirm the trip. We also use your specified reservation details and preferences to ensure that the parties that take care of your travel and preferences (eg for the flight, transfer to hotel and stay at destination / hotel) can carry out this service.
During the booking of a trip you may pass on special personal data such as the registration of medical luggage and comments about your health.
We process this special personal data only for the purposes to which you have provided this information to us and when you expressly consent to this processing.
To be able to reach you and the person that stay at home during the trip in the event of an emergency
Unfortunately, calamities sometimes occur during journeys. At your destination or at home. We would like to keep you informed of developments that are important to you. For this we use the contact details such as your phone number and e-mail address or the specified person that stays at home.
For dealing with complaints and requests for information or for enabling and learning from the exercise of your rights
We store your contact details when you contact us by letter, e-mail, the contact form, during a telephone conversation and / or if you want to influence the use we make of your personal data. We do this partly to be able to answer or help you, but also to learn from our complaint handling.
Who will receive your personal data?
We share your personal information with third parties. These are the following parties:
Employees at the offices of Morabeza;
Parties that will deliver you (part of) the booked trip, such as airlines, other carriers, accommodation owners, tour guides and other parties. We do not transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area, unless necessary for the execution of the travel agreement (eg. airlines and accommodation owners outside the EEA). In all other cases we ensure that appropriate measures are taken to adequately protect your personal data. Where appropriate, we ensure that only parties in third countries with an appropriate level of protection specified by the European Commission are personal data processors at the offices of Morabeza
When traveling abroad, it may be required (by government authorities at departure and arrival points) that your personal data are provided and processed in the context of border control, immigration, security, anti-terrorism and other purposes that are applicable deemed. The information that has to be provided may differ per destination. Examples of data that are requested include customer data, contact details and reservation data.
On what basis do we process your personal data?
We use a number of principles when using your personal data. The bases we use are:
1.The processing is necessary for the performance of an agreement to which you are a party. This is, for example, the execution of the (travel) agreement with you.
2. Processing is necessary to comply with a legal duty that we must comply with;
3. Processing is necessary for the representation of our legitimate interests.

We process your special personal data (including the registration of medical luggage and remarks about your health) and personal data which do not fall under the above-mentioned principles only if you have expressly given permission for this. You can withdraw this permission at any time. How and where you can do this is described in this privacy policy under the heading “Your privacy rights”.
Storage period
Your personal data will be kept for as long as necessary for the purposes of the processing and will then be permanently deleted within the prescribed period, taking into account legal obligations. This means, for example, that your data regarding the travel contract will be kept for a maximum of seven years in accordance with our fiscal storage period. In certain cases you may object to the processing of personal data (see further under the heading “Your privacy rights”).
Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. This means, among other things, that we enter into agreements with service providers that process personal data on our behalf in which we oblige them to take these measures.

You have the right to have incorrect personal data changed or to supplement personal data.
